When we first became RAGOM fosters 9 years ago, we had no idea how much this organization would impact our lives.   The more I learned about the great work RAGOM does, the more involved I became.  In addition to fostering, I became involved in the Intake and Adoption areas and, two years ago, became a Board member.  

Most importantly, however, RAGOM  has given us our sweet girl, Sahara.  Who knew, that of all the foster dogs that have crossed our thresh hold,  it would be a little Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix who would capture our hearts  so strongly that we couldn't let her go.  She came to us from a small breeder at the age of 5 and was very fearful and unsocialized.   However, she immediately bonded with our two dogs, Sammie and Casey and they became inseparable.  Now 12 years old,  no one would guess she was once shy.  She shamelessly begs for attention from all people, is a fantastic foster sister to all of our fosters, and is the best bunny hunter around.  And, she and Sammie are still best of friends (We helped Casey cross the Bridge 2 years ago).

Sahara's story is just one of thousands.  RAGOM has helped rehome over 8,000 in it's 30+ years and these dogs got this chance only because of generous donations that allowed us to help  them.  In the last few years, we have seen a large increase in the amount of dogs with significant medical and behavioral needs.  As a result, our expenses are much higher.  More than ever, we need donations to continue to help.  Please consider donating to RAGOM.  Every little bit helps.
