With so many foster dogs passing through our home, it is sometimes difficult to highlight just one for our Goldzilla page! This boy has a powerful story. Jovi is from China and was on a truck headed to the slaughter house for the meat trade. Wonderful rescuers stopped the truck and took Jovi and others off and into their rescue. Jovi had a badly infected wound on his neck that also ripped one of his salivary glands. He almost did not come since we were worried about what would happen on the flight with the wound. But RAGOM volunteers went to China and brought him to Minnesota. Dr. Lara Rasmussen-a wonderful surgeon-operated to repair his wounds.
At his first Meet and Greet after surgery, he met a WONDERFUL family that fell for him right away! They wanted him home for the 4th of July. Jovi--now named Lucky (and how appropriate!), is living the Golden life he deserves! He goes to work with Mom or Dad, swims in their pool and spends many hours hiking and visiting dog friendly food joints. He is dearly loved! Jovi hit the jackpot when the China rescuers got him off that truck, when he came to RAGOM and when he found his forever family. Truly a RESCUE story!
