I didn't really know the love of a dog until 8 years ago when I got to know Nellie a friends Golden Retriever.  Then 6 years ago I was blessed with Koda, he was my world, my life!  Because of Koda I found this group called RAGOM who rescues Golden Retrievers, Golden mixes and even honorary Goldens.  Because of RAGOM I started fostering dogs and Heath came into my life too.  Koda, Heath and I were a happy family, we helped other dogs start new lives with their fur-ever families, Koda especially but Heath too were great mentors for the fosters coming to us, helping them to see that life could be better than what they had known.  Then last fall I lost Koda, much to quickly to cancer.  I wasn't sure about continuing to foster, I didn't know if I could take it, wasn't sure how Heath would react.  Turns out it was a great choice for both of us Heath has become a wonderful if maybe a bit more aloof mentor, he loves to show off how he has his human wrapped around his paw!  There are so many dogs looking for help and their fur-ever homes, please consider making a donation to this wonderful group!  We also need more volunteers to help contiinue this mission.  For more information please see Http://www.ragom.org
